INFORMATION FOR VW CAMPER Reg: CRA 21OL Purchased June 2012 Refurb work from 2013 - 2018 • Ripped out all interior, saving the rock and roll bed frame, and a few of smaller fittings, including seats, original cooker and sink still in good order. • Removed dash and all the switches, clocks and wiring to refurb. • Primed interior roof, walls and floor panels with red lead paint, lined the doors and walls with blue insulation board. Repaired and cleaned original cab lining. • Exterior paintwork ¬- Candy Blood red with extra metallic with Copper Bronze metallic middle band and Merc silver for roof. • Interior polar white, panel trim and seating red and silver leather look material. • Replaced rear driver’s side panel, both inner arch lower panels and new plate under the passenger seat. Reduced front grille slightly and customised, moved indicator lights to where they are on a splitty using Landrover defender lights. • Door and window seals needed replacing. • Rock and roll bed cushions replaced with memory foam, as well as buddy seats. Front seats reupholstered, increased height to the backs for a neck support with embroidered VW logo on each seat. • Cleaned and replaced all clocks and switches, cleaned and prepped all air vents and louvre windows and refurbished the metal handles and hinges. • Pop-top panels replaced. • Pop-top interior roof panel replaced with bright red acrylic single panel. • Bespoke joiner made and fitted kitchen area with original cooker, sink. Brand new under counter digital fridge • LED strip light fitted along pop-top panels. • Curtain tracks and new curtains from VW Campervan curtains. • New floor panel and vinyl flooring for the central area, boot area lined, new cab rubber mats. • Reclaimed removable centre post dining table with removable top installed. • New radio with 6 speakers. • Keinzel clock for the central dash installed. • Silver checker plate panel as a kicker panel. • Disked steering wheel with oak wooden trim. • Insurance company recommended updating the fuse box, as original Bakelite didn’t meet their specifications. • Reconditioned original engine, (1600 air-cooled) slightly bigger piston rings replacing the crank and ancillaries with new parts. • Original gear box. • Installed new quick shifter gear lever. • Undercoated engine bay, stainless steel exhaust, Accuspark distribution kit. • Fitted new coil ignition leads (in red), new plugs, oil filter, a pork pie air filter and new carb. • 5 spoke alloys with Hancook tyres and chrome wheel nuts. • Updated front brake callipers and discs and brake flexi pipes. Middle body pan and pedal pan plastic coated in bright red. • Leisure battery fitted.
