For sale:* Low Mileage 55996* Volkswagen 1303 Karmann Convertable Beetle - with aithenticity certificate. I'm reluctantly selling, from my late fathers car collection a 1978 Beetle for restoration. Garaged and almost forgotten about for 15+ years, it came to light when the council wanted their garage back! In my ownership now for the past 8 years- I had hoped to restore it but reluctantly have to sell due to personal circumstances. So my Bug needs a new home in the New Year! A great project for someone with hands on experience and wishing to carry out a restoration project, put their own stamp on a Bug. I have recently purchased an authenticity certificate from Wolfsberg, Germany stating it was: Delivered to VW of America Personal, New York on 26.04.1978. Manufactured in Karmann GmbH, Osnabrueck 4 speed manual AJ/4 Cylinder 1.6 litre / 37kW (50 hp) Plus other original specifications within the certificate Now converted to r/h drive, a non runner. New cloth top and interior vinyl lining required. Floor pans have been replaced but may need further work. Welding required to: Rear wheel arches/ n/s engine bay/ scuttle panel, both rear inner wings. Fuel tank required. Spare drivers door available plus some other spares/ books etc I have some historical paperwork/ including past receipts, mots and bills etc For info I'm based in GL56 Mileage roughly 55,000 Offers in the region of 495,00 Any questions please ask.
